Illustration Friday - snap

Würstchenschnappen - it´s a game we used to play when we were kids. Do you know it? How is it called in your country?

hehe, I'm not sure actually whether I know it from books or whether it is really played here. If it is, it's rather not with sausage :D. But your illustration is really great. I love the colours and the characters with their funny expressions.

Wonderful illustration! The characters are all so much fun! Well draw and great colors. Sorry, I know of no such game in the U.S. - which is a shame - I'd love to play it! I know what I'm doing for our next party! Würstchenschnappen!

Looks like a good time for all. The closest thing I can think of to this is trying to bite apples that are hanging on strings at Halloween. A very fun peice.

So cute! I have seen this done with doughnuts tied to strings...but not sure what (if anything) it is called. Other than fun!

I wish it was a gane we used to play - looks like wacky good fun! I like your piece a lot - especially the dog. He's very carefully considering his next move - either that or he's mesmerized by the mea. "Mmmmm! Sausage!"

I can't remember having played Wuerstchenschnappen?:o)
Maybe my mum didn't allow us because of hygiene reasons..I remember there were a lot of fun spoiling elements on my bday parties...:o(

PS. the dog on the right looks like he's not so sure either..;o)

Love this! We used to play something similar in Scotland on Halloween, except it was pancakes with sticky treacle on them - we used to get in quite a mess!

Hallo Anja,
