So that´s it. I´m having enough cards for Christmas 2006. In the next week I will sew some stars and angels for friends... but for me Christmas business is over.

Last weekend I visited a Handicarft Fair and discovered these colourful Christmas decorations.
The matches are little presents for family and friends to light candles in the dark wintertime.

Thanksgiving

Wir in Deutschland feiern kein Thanksgiving. All meine Kenntnisse über dieses Fest erhielt ich durch Filme, Serien wie Frasier und Friends oder Comics wie den Peanuts. Ich liebe diese Geschichten, in denen ein riesiger Vogel eine gewichtige Nebenrolle spielt und ich liebe diese Illu: armer kleiner Woodstock, der fassungslos vor einem toten Truthahn steht.

I can´t knit or crochet but this weekend I decided to try some needlework. My technique isn´t perfect... well I don´t care it was a lot of fun. I won´t have a Christmastree that´s why I put them on my beloved cactuses like Snoopy´s brother Spike did.

First snow-flakes

We had such a beautiful warm october and today it´s so cold and it started to snow... perfect weather for making christmas cards. This picture was taken in my kitchen with a view to the backyard.
